Welcome

We are Oxford's premier student research society in economics and finance.

WHO WE ARE;
WHAT WE DO

We are committed to empowering students to fulfill their interest in researching fascinating topics.

The Oxford Economics Review is a student society which enables students to produce their own research in economics and finance. Whether it be a short research article or a full fledged paper, we seek to empower students to study captivating topics in economics and finance. We accomplish this mission in two ways.

At home, in Oxford, we run termly cohorts of student researchers, and provide them with the resources to succeed. Students are given the opportunity to explore a topic that interests them, whether it be individually or in teams. We also seek to connect students to Oxford professors producing similar research, for students to receive help and advice. Review by other student researchers promotes a culture of collaboration, enabling everyone to produce better research. Students may stay on for as many terms as they wish, to produce research they are proud of.

Looking beyond Oxford, we publish research in Economics and Finance produced by students across the world, studying at leading Universities. We aim to create an inter-university community of student researchers passionate about their work and curious about that of their peers.

OUR VALUES

GET INVOLVED

Publishing your research

We review and publish research in economics and finance from students worldwide, year round. If you are interested in being published, you can send your research to our email. We frequently review student work, and publish the best.

Performing research

If you study at Oxford University, you can choose to get involved with research no matter your skill level! Whether it be by writing individually or collaboratively, or writing a shorter article or longer paper, we have options for everyone!

Students can reach out with a paper idea they have and want support with, or because they are interested in research generally and want to join a team.

Reading groups

We run a reading group every two weeks where we email a paper around to discuss. This is a great way to discover new methodologies and learn from academics.

Developing the society

We need students to help us run the society, whether it be finding sponsors, organizing our termly student-speaker event or reaching out to professors so they can advise our researchers.

We welcome all applications, all year round!
